Abortion Activists Firebombed This Pregnancy Center, Now Letitia James Wants to Stop It From Saving Babies

On Monday, May 6, 2024, NY Attorney General filed a lawsuit against 12 pro-life organizations, including the firebombed pro-life network CompassCare in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, claiming fraudulent statements of the safety and effectiveness of abortion pill reversal protocols.

CEO of firebombed CompassCare, Rev. Jim Harden states, “Based on James’ irresponsible record of protecting big abortion, it appears that her lawsuit against us is a smokescreen to obscure the rampant malpractice and fraud that is the chemical abortion industry ahead of an anticipated June Supreme Court decision on that very subject. James’ claim ignores a 2023 review of 16 medical studies,” Harden elaborated, “revealing the truth of the safety and efficacy of progesterone therapy—to say nothing of the thousands of years of successful human reproductive history made possible by progesterone.”

Defendant CompassCare was firebombed by pro-abortion Antifa ahead of the Supreme Court case overturning Roe in June 2022. Antifa Jane’s Revenge intended to shut down pregnancy centers, falsely claiming CompassCare “harms” women. The timing of James’ litigation is impeccable if not uncanny, arriving on the eve of another major Supreme Court case directly related to chemical abortion.

On April 22, Letitia James, notified Christian pro-life pregnancy centers of her intent to sue within a short five business days, alleging the use of “misleading statements or omissions in the advertising” regarding the effectiveness of progesterone therapy to reverse the effects of chemical abortion. Despite having no evidence or complaint by women served, Letitia James laughably claimed, “abortion cannot be “reversed.”

Conveniently, AG James’ press release fails to say is that the pro-life groups sued her first represented by the Thomas More Society a week earlier on April 30.

What she seeks to obscure is a recent study showing that 1 in 17 women who start the chemical abortion process wind up in the ER with sepsis, hemorrhaging, or undiagnosed ectopic pregnancy. Meanwhile, 60% of those ER visits are miscoded as a miscarriage. Further, purveyors of chemical abortion for profit not only hide the dangerous side-effects of chemical abortion but fraudulently tout it as ‘safer than Tylenol.’

To gestate a healthy baby in utero, a woman’s body produces the hormone progesterone. Mifepristone is a progesterone blocker, which kills the baby and harms women. Progesterone therapy simply overwhelms the effects of Mifepristone by safely providing more progesterone than the chemical abortion drug can inactivate.

Rev. Harden fires back at Letitia James, “There is nothing experimental about progesterone. You and I are here today because you mother’s progesterone worked. James’ lawsuit is activist litigation which protects no one but a dangerously fraudulent, multi-billion-dollar abortion empire headquartered in Manhattan that gets politicians like James re-elected. This is pro-abortion propaganda designed to vilify pro-life Christians ahead of the 2024 Presidential election. The sad part is that if James has her way, women will be forced to continue abortions that they do not want.”

Rev. Harden continues, “James is illegally leveraging the power of her office to penalize Christians for communicating truth in violation of her ideology, not the law. Christian people associate and express the truth through pregnancy care that all people are created in God’s image, equally valuable—both mom and baby.”
