Trump Derangement Syndrome Strikes Again: Democrats Protest, Resist, and Undermine Government—But It’s ‘Good’ This Time?

Trump Derangement Syndrome

Once again, Democrats are showing the world that their political philosophy boils down to “rules for thee, but not for me.” Over the past few days, left-wing activists and politicians have taken to the streets in coordinated protests against President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). While they spent years accusing Republicans of “undermining democracy” for questioning government overreach, they are now doing exactly that—only this time, it’s being framed as heroic “resistance.”  Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Democrats Protest Government While Claiming Protest is Dangerous

On February 4, 2025, enraged Democrats and radical left-wing activists stormed the U.S. Treasury Department, protesting Musk’s role in government operations. Their grievance? Musk’s access to government payment systems, which they now see as an existential threat—conveniently forgetting that they spent years championing Big Tech billionaires and unchecked government control.

Meanwhile, the “50501 Movement,” a collection of progressive activists, launched protests in multiple state capitals, demanding an end to Trump’s policies and Musk’s influence. The same people who called Trump supporters “insurrectionists” for peacefully protesting government policies are now demanding defiance against Trump’s administration, openly advocating resistance. But when Democrats protest, it’s never “threatening democracy”—it’s “saving America.”

Mainstream Media Spins the Narrative—Again

The corporate media, naturally, is running interference for their favorite political party.

  • The Guardian sympathetically reported on the Treasury protest, emphasizing how Democrats were bravely “standing up to authoritarianism.” No mention, of course, that these same Democrats called the January 6th protests the greatest threat to democracy since the Civil War.
  • The Associated Press framed the protests as a noble fight against “government dismantling,” completely ignoring the irony that these same Democrats were the biggest advocates of tearing down America’s institutions when it suited them.
  • Politico took things even further, quoting Democratic leaders who are urging complete resistance against Trump’s administration, calling it “blowing up the system.” Where have we heard that kind of rhetoric before? Oh right—when they accused Republicans of inciting violence.

A Case Study in Hypocrisy: Protest Is Only “Good” When the Left Does It

For years, Democrats have weaponized the media, the legal system, and public opinion to demonize any form of conservative protest.

  • When Trump supporters questioned election integrity? They were called traitors and insurrectionists.
  • When Republicans pushed back against government overreach? It was framed as domestic terrorism.
  • When parents protested radical curriculum in schools? The FBI labeled them as potential extremists.

But now that Democrats want to defy the government, break the law, and resist Trump, it’s suddenly acceptable—even encouraged. The same acts that were considered “evil” under Trump’s first term are now rebranded as noble resistance.

Trump Derangement Syndrome Knows No Limits

The sheer hysteria and contradiction coming from the left is another clear sign of Trump Derangement Syndrome in action. For Democrats, it’s never about principles—it’s about power.

  • If Trump enforces laws? He’s a dictator.
  • If Biden enforces laws? He’s protecting democracy.
  • If Trump protests government corruption? It’s an attack on America.
  • If Democrats protest Trump? It’s “saving democracy.”

The reality is Democrats don’t believe in democracy. They believe in their democracy, where they always hold power, and any challenge to their rule is an existential crisis. The mainstream media will continue to play defense, rewriting history in real-time, while the left screams about “fascism” as they do the very thing they accused Trump of doing.

Final Thought: If Democrats truly cared about democracy, they wouldn’t need to rewrite the rules every time they lose power. But as we see time and time again, it’s never about principles—it’s about control.
